Las Vegas Platinum Coin Buyers

We buy platinum coins of all types at Nevada Coin & Jewelry. Our highly professional staff is trained to quickly identify and authenticate platinum coins of all designs, no matter where on Earth they were minted. The numismatic prestige for these coins can be highly significant, depending on the series and mintage, and with platinum generally trading for more than gold these days, there could be incredible value to your collection of platinum coins.

Platinum Coins

Platinum is relatively new to coinage, only having been fully integrated into coins after the discovery of the New World by Spanish adventurers during the Renaissance era. Originally, platinum was a little respected precious metal. During a long stretch where platinum was worth less than silver, not more than 200 years ago, it was often used by forgers to replace the silver in coins so that they could profit heavily in trade with unsuspecting merchants.

This is not the case anymore, as platinum has become revered for its scarcity and numerous industrial uses as well as coveted the world over for its durability and beauty. Most platinum coins are not minted for general use as the precious metal value is too high. Coins that contain platinum are generally made as investment grade coins or commemorative coins marking some significant event in the issuing nation’s history. Platinum coins come in all shapes and sizes and usually have a higher purity content compared to the coins of the silver and gold variety. The staff at Nevada Coin & Jewelry is well accustomed to dealing with these many varieties from the several nations that have regularly produced platinum coins over the past few centuries. By using Nevada Coin & Jewelry’s state of the art equipment, our staff can quickly verify the purity and authenticity of any platinum coins and make a market competitive cash offer on the spot. In addition, our highly secure locations enable you to sell your platinum coins, and accept cash payments, without the prying eyes of suspicious onlookers.

A.J. and Robert are so friendly and make it so you have the best deal with the items you bring them. They have so much knowledge about all the items they have in their shop and they like to teach others about what they know…

After visiting a couple of the “traveling gold & silver merchants” who came to Mesquite, I made a call to Nevada Coin & Jewelry in Las Vegas… David was very helpful and professional. Their prices were the best I had seen… I left very satisfied with my trip and the deals we made. I will definitely go there again.

Grateful for the Nevada Coin and Jewelry shop, I just adore it. I took some collectable figurines in and they bought them. I came out smelling like a rose. You should’ve been there to see the big smile on my face. I ran all the way home to look for some more. Can’t wait to get back! I can sure use the money!

My friend and I came here to sell some coins and jewelry. We first saw Scott about some coins. He was very friendly and knew his stuff. Afterwards, he brought us over to Sheila who looked at our jewelry. She was also very nice and professional. We will definitely come back here again. GREAT PLACE!!!!

Great family run store. I’m well taken care of every time I show up at this location. Thank you Nick.

My Aunt recently passed and she lived in the outskirts of Las Vegas. While my sister and I went through her estate we found a number of items that neither of us considered keeping, but our aunt was clear in her will that she wanted us to use her things to make a profit and in turn use that money to help our futures. We shopped around, especially not being from the area, and got a lot of negative experiences just on the phone. People were rude, uninformative, and really just gave us a feeling they wanted to rip us off. It made us think of those dirty pawn shops you “hear about”. Finally I called Nevada Coin and Jewelry and the whole day shifted! We described a few pieces of jewelry and they helped us figure out initially a general value based on the metal. Of course, they did explain the importance of actually coming in and examining the pieces individually. That level of service over the phone got us through the door. When we went to the spot we were greeted with the same level courtesy, but the professionalism when going over each item and it’s value was through the roof! They took the time to explain why each item was worth what amount and even gave us a little bit of history on the styles. At the end of the day, my sister and I walked away with a sizable amount of money to put towards my son’s college fund and my sister’s vet school. Thanks, Nevada Coin and Jewelry!

Been living in Vegas for many years and never had to sell or hock any of my items unfortunately as luck would have it that day did eventually find me and let me tell you is it a tough racket to find a decent place out here to do business with. Pawn shops are a joke and could care less about their customers and treated me like another number. Tried and tried and place after place the numbers where all over the place. Finally decided to go to these guys and I’m glad I did. They tested each piece of my jewelry right in from of me with some kind of xray machine. They explained how they calculated the price and paid me cash on the spot. Avery was very helpful and didn’t mind answering my questions and explaining what they do. I left feeling I got the best price for my items. I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell their jewelry.

I recently got divorced so I wanted to get rid of some of the jewelry my ex-husband got me. I found Nevada Coin and jewelry searching the web. When I called the guy that answered the phone was friendly and willing to quote me a price per gram. I went to their store on Flamingo, Avery whom I spoke to on the phone tested my items using some kind of x-ray machine. I could see that some of my jewelry was not the karat I thought (some lower some higher). He paid what he quoted on the phone no bait and switch. It took less than 15 minutes got my cash and got rid of some bad memories. I would recommend this company if you are looking to sell jewelry.

This past Saturday I had the opportunity to meet the owner and team at Nevada Coin and Jewelry. I didn’t know what to expect but they made me feel both comfortable and safe. I went through my collection of jewelry, both broken pieces and things I thought were of no value at all. They took the time to explain what each carat weight was worth and they helped me sort through my items. I was amazed at what they gave me for things I would never wear or use. I would recommend you stop in and speak to them, you might be as pleasantly surprised as I was.
