Nevada Coin and Jewelry

Nevada Coin & Currency was founded in 2008 and morphed into Nevada Coin & Jewelry upon the opening of its 6380 W Flamingo Rd location. Nevada Coin & Jewelry has its roots in a family run business called The Jewelry Exchange, founded in 1984, on Las Vegas Blvd located where the Paris Hotel is currently located.

Nevada Coin & Jewelry is a licensed by Clark County as a secondhand dealer and a coin dealer at our Flamingo Rd location and at our new Blue Diamond Rd location. Nevada Coin & Jewelry is a local leader in the buying of precious metals, such as Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium. Items containing these precious metals can be jewelry, coins, flatware and bowls.

Cutting edge technology is a hallmark of the way Nevada Coin & Jewelry conducts business. Nevada Coin & Jewelry has a large investment in x-ray spectrometers at both of our locations. The spectrometer allows the staff at Nevada Coin & Jewelry to analyze the content and percentage of the precious metals in an item such as jewelry.

Nevada Coin & Jewelry is a buyer of diamonds 1ct or larger. Having a GIA gemologist on staff, allows Nevada Coin & Jewelry to make the highest cash offers on diamonds. Nevada Coin & Jewelry has the most advanced technology to evaluate diamonds, employing a GIA diamond microscope displaying on a 27 inch monitor. This allows a client to see the same image of their diamond that the gemologist sees.

Beside jewelry, Nevada Coin & Jewelry also buys precious metals in the form of bullion. Gold, Silver, Platinum and Palladium is bought from the public based on current spot prices. Precious metals are measured in Troy Ounces, or fractions thereof.

Most people are familiar with ounces when buying food at the supermarket. That type of ounce is called avoirdupois. An ounce avoirdupois weighs 28.3 grams where an ounce troy weighs 31.1 grams.

Collectible coins are another area where Nevada Coin & Jewelry helps the public convert their valuables to the most cash possible. Both of our two locations have dedicated collectible coin departments staffed by individuals having expertise in their fields. Our coin people only deal in coins.

Very few similar businesses have the well thought out systems and practices that Nevada Coin & Jewelry employes. By combining the disciplines of Jewelry buying, Diamond buying, Bullion buying and Collectible Coin buying under one roof, Nevada Coin & Jewelry is almost unique in Las Vegas.

Really cool cats over at Nevada Coin and Jewelry. You would’ve thought that I was “Madonna” the way those guys treated me. I was so mesmerized by all of the antiques, they have in there, I believe I was there for two hours, just looking, unbelieveable! When I went in I was so hot, they offered me a cold bottle of water, how cool is that? It felt like home to me. I wanted to get a price for some old jewelry that was passed down by grandma, I was well satisfied. When I left the shop, I was singing “Money, Money, Money.

The staff are quick at work but not too quick to make you feel pressured into buying items or selling your items. They teach you about the items and tell you if they have use for your items or not. If they don’t have use for your items they call other places to see if they have a use for the items. Great staff!

Grateful for the Nevada Coin and Jewelry shop, I just adore it. I took some collectable figurines in and they bought them. I came out smelling like a rose. You should’ve been there to see the big smile on my face. I ran all the way home to look for some more. Can’t wait to get back! I can sure use the money!

I recently got divorced so I wanted to get rid of some of the jewelry my ex-husband got me. I found Nevada Coin and jewelry searching the web. When I called the guy that answered the phone was friendly and willing to quote me a price per gram. I went to their store on Flamingo, Avery whom I spoke to on the phone tested my items using some kind of x-ray machine. I could see that some of my jewelry was not the karat I thought (some lower some higher). He paid what he quoted on the phone no bait and switch. It took less than 15 minutes got my cash and got rid of some bad memories. I would recommend this company if you are looking to sell jewelry.

They took the time to help me sell my item and find an item. The staff does not rush you or pressure you into buying something. They take you on a little adventure by telling you about the items you are selling and looking at…

My friend and I came here to sell some coins and jewelry. We first saw Scott about some coins. He was very friendly and knew his stuff. Afterwards, he brought us over to Sheila who looked at our jewelry. She was also very nice and professional. We will definitely come back here again. GREAT PLACE!!!!

My Aunt recently passed and she lived in the outskirts of Las Vegas. While my sister and I went through her estate we found a number of items that neither of us considered keeping, but our aunt was clear in her will that she wanted us to use her things to make a profit and in turn use that money to help our futures. We shopped around, especially not being from the area, and got a lot of negative experiences just on the phone. People were rude, uninformative, and really just gave us a feeling they wanted to rip us off. It made us think of those dirty pawn shops you “hear about”. Finally I called Nevada Coin and Jewelry and the whole day shifted! We described a few pieces of jewelry and they helped us figure out initially a general value based on the metal. Of course, they did explain the importance of actually coming in and examining the pieces individually. That level of service over the phone got us through the door. When we went to the spot we were greeted with the same level courtesy, but the professionalism when going over each item and it’s value was through the roof! They took the time to explain why each item was worth what amount and even gave us a little bit of history on the styles. At the end of the day, my sister and I walked away with a sizable amount of money to put towards my son’s college fund and my sister’s vet school. Thanks, Nevada Coin and Jewelry!

A great selection of coins and other numismatic related material. Very professional.

Been living in Vegas for many years and never had to sell or hock any of my items unfortunately as luck would have it that day did eventually find me and let me tell you is it a tough racket to find a decent place out here to do business with. Pawn shops are a joke and could care less about their customers and treated me like another number. Tried and tried and place after place the numbers where all over the place. Finally decided to go to these guys and I’m glad I did. They tested each piece of my jewelry right in from of me with some kind of xray machine. They explained how they calculated the price and paid me cash on the spot. Avery was very helpful and didn’t mind answering my questions and explaining what they do. I left feeling I got the best price for my items. I would recommend them to anyone looking to sell their jewelry.
